Flooded Arena Excavation
A flooding arena can be a challenging and frustrating experience for horse owners and riders. Unfortunately, when a significant amount of water accumulates in the arena, the footing can become unstable and potentially dangerous for the horses. Therefore, it's important to relay the arena as soon as possible to ensure the safety and well-being of both the horses and their riders. By doing so, you can get back to riding and training your horses safely and confidently.
Due to the flooding rebuilding a horse arena requires careful planning and execution to ensure a safe and functional riding surface for both horse and rider. This process involved scraping off the top surface (to be reused) and installing a new drainage system. Once the drainage was in place, the arena was then levelled up and a new membrane was applied and the scrapped off top surface was then relayed to create a smooth and even surface. This process, ensured that the arena was properly equipped to handle heavy rainfall and a prolonged use, providing a safe and enjoyable space for the owner and their horse to ride and train.
