A.J. Atkins founders come from a farming background, which instils a deep appreciation for nature and the importance of sustainability and we are always looking for ways to minimise the impact on the environment and local ecosystems.

Our Farming background has taught us the value of land and the importance of doing a quality job whilst being environmentally conscious and conservation-minded which offers results that are not only functional but also inkeeping with its surrounding and built to last.

Our HISTORY

Over 23 years in business

The owner, Adam Atkins started out as a sole trader with one JCB 3cx machine. In 2004, he progressed to five diggers and several dumpers and rollers and the company then became known as A.J. Atkins Excavation Contractors Ltd.

In 2011 a sister company was formed as A.J. Atkins Agriculture, undertaking all agricultural work including tractor and trailer hire in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

We are a small and friendly, family run business. We form close relationships with all our customers, and the majority of our work is through recommendations from previous customers.
